My Current Hair Care Routine! Making damaged hair disappear!

Hello Lovelies!

So today, I thought I'd discuss what my Current Hair Care Routine is. So as previously mentioned in my past blogs, I regretfully had my hair Chemically Straightened last year and it absolutely ruined my hair. I didn't have really healthy hair to begin with as I had the Balayage style in my hair for a few years and in the process of trying to find an amazing Hair Dresser, I went to a few not so good ones and they didn't help my hair at all. A few months before I got my Hair Chemically Straightened I finally found an amazing Hair Stylist and she finally got my Hair into good shape and then I stupidly did the Chemical Straightening.

Ever since I did the Chemically Straightening my hair has been so brittle and dry at the ends and I ended up having to cut off about 15cms off of my Hair to try and get it healthier, as well as going back to Brown until recently. For the last year I've been trying to find products that will make my hair feel and look amazing and I've finally found products that do exactly that.

** Please note, these products may not work for everyone I'm just telling you all my experiences and what has worked for my hair.**

I've got extremely THICK hair and on top of that I have a lot of it and also very frizzy, curly hair (hence why I wasted time and money on that Chemical Straightening.) The main reason I went to get the Chemical Straightening was, when I wash my hair I literally have to block out about 4 hours to wash it, blow dry it and then straighten it and that gets very old, very quick but without straightening my Hair looks like a frizzy Afro and I'd like to say I could, but I cannot rock that look haha. I wanted to give my Hair a break from all of that heat and damaging - especially as I had the bleached ends so that obviously adds to the damage and lets just face it, I'm lazy and that's a lot of effort to put in to simply make my Hair look nice.

So I start off by obviously washing my hair. I use the Edward Beale Argan Oil Blonde Shampoo & Conditioner. I came across the plain Argan Oil one a few months ago before I went back to Balayage and I found that after the first wash I really saw a difference in my hair. It works really well on my hair and when I added the Blonde I picked up the Blonde version to keep my Hair from going brassy. Although I haven't realized that it helps my blonde yet as I've only recently had my hair done but so far there is no brassiness so fingers crossed that continues. It comes out in a light purple shade which I have no problem with as I have used purple shampoo' before. The only thing I don't like about this product is the Blonde version doesn't smell all that great. The plain version has a nice, subtle smell to it but the blonde version almost has a menthol smell to it but when I smell my hair after it's washed I can't really smell anything and the treatments I use add a little bit of a nice smell. The awesome thing about this product is it's very well priced. I bought mine from Priceline and got them for $8.00 each which is pretty hard to come by affordable Shampoo & Conditioners that have Argan oil in them and also takes away Brassiness. Check them out here http://www.priceline.com.au/hair/hair-care/shampoo-and-conditioner/argan-oil-blonde-conditioner-500.0-ml

After I wash my hair I wrap it up in a towel and let it towel dry for about half an hour. I then take out my hair from the towel and comb it. Once a week I then put the Macadamia Oil Natural Hair Deep Repair Masque (I previously did a blog on this AMAZING stuff check that out here - http://www.beautywithbelinda.blogspot.com.au/2014/02/my-new-must-have-macadamia-natural-oil.html). It's absolutely amazing and I am so glad I came across this as it's been a godsend for my hair. I put the masque through my hair and then comb it through. Leaving the masque on for about 10 minutes (I leave it on longer sometimes when my hair feels extra dry) then you wash it out. Check it - http://www.macadamiahair.com/products/detail/deep_repair_masque.

Once again, I let my hair towel dry for half an hour and comb through it again. I then put the De Lorenzo Instant Restructurant Protein Spray. Seeing as my hair is so damaged and my ends were so bad I could literally get a piece of hair and snap it in half I've been trying to find some products that make my hair extra strong. My Mum has very thin hair and she was told to use this product a long time ago and she mentioned to me that I should try it out as it'll repair my split ends and in turn would need a hair cut less. Another thing I really like about this product is they're 100% Australian made and owned, they DO NOT test on animals and have no animal ingredients and all the ingredients are biodegradable. Let me tell you she was right, all of these products have made my hair the healthiest it has been in a long time (I have attached a picture of my ends now). I don't have a picture of what my ends looked like before because let's face it, it would've been embarrassing showing off how fried and damaged they were. Check out the Protein Spray at http://www.hairhousewarehouse.com.au/hair-care/de-lorenzo-instant-rejuvenate-restructurant-leave-in-treatment-spray-200ml.aspx and this can be purchased there for $29.50 in a 200ml spray bottle which lasts a long time.

After all of the treatments I either let my hair dry naturally and then straighten it or blow dry it and then straighten it. Always remember if you're putting any heat on your hair to use a Heat Protector. I use Schwarzkopf Extra Care Ultimate Keratin Blow Dry Energizer which I love and works really well, I also love the Tresemme one as well, which you can buy both at any supermarket or Chemist for under $10. I have realized ever since using the Edward Beale Shampoo & Conditioner my hair dries a lot tamer and is less frizzy, which is always a bonus. There's even been a few times where I haven't needed to straighten my hair - which is a miracle I tell ya!. It doesn't say that it should do that, it's just something I have realized. I also have been using recently the Vidal Sassoon Big Hair Styler which is a Blow Dryer brush and Blow dry in one and I was actually really impressed with that, so a blog will be coming up very soon on that.

Gosh I am exhausted even typing my routine let alone doing it haha.

I hope this has helped some of you and if you have any suggestions or tips that you'd like me to try out then please leave a comment!

Hope you're all having a Beauty-ful Day/Night!
