My new Face Savior - SHE Aromatherapy Anti-Ageing Rosehip Oil

Hello Beauty-ful people!

So as I'm getting a bit older, I'm becoming more and more conscious about my skin and ageing. They say skin dehydration is the number one thing that ages the skin and as I have dry skin and Psoriasis I am trying to do as much as I can now so that my skin ages gracefully. I have a lot of health issues and am on some really hardcore medications so I try and put good food and things in my body but unfortunately some things I cannot control so I don't want my health or medications to make my skin bad either as they are making everything inside not so good, I don't want it to go on the outside. My skin is quite sensitive, I have a blood disorder so some days I wake up and the blood vessels in my face all burst so I have to be careful of that and as previously mentioned I have Psoriasis - although it is a very mild case it primarily happens on my face. In Winter my whole forehead looked like it was shedding so I had to go extra on my skin routine to try and help it but of course do it sensitively so it didn't aggravate the skin. I am very lucky and apart from the Psoriasis my skin looks very good. Generally when I go out I don't put makeup on apart from occasionally putting a bit of powder on and when I go out to dinner or to somewhere photos are going to be taken I don't use Foundation, I use BB Cream in hopes it doesn't clog and make my skin worse but still gives me a bit of coverage just to even the skin out so I look half decent.

So over the last year I have been trying to find the best product that Moisturisers my skin nicely, that is still sensitive but doesn't make my skin react or Oily. Everything I have tried have been nice but until I found this product nothing had really worked the way I hoped it had.

I heard that serums or oils were the best way to make your skin not dehydrated so I started looking at what types of serums were the best. I read a few articles on Rosehip Oil being a very good Anti-Ageing product, and is natural so it's better for the skin but also leaves your skin really moisturised but doesn't oil up the skin, which was always my concern when using an oil and also leaves your skin looking Radiant, which I have always wanted so that I could go Makeup Free more often without looking sick.
I found a brand called "SHE Aromatherapy" and they make an Anti-Ageing Organic Cold Pressed Rosehip Oil. So I googled to see the reviews and the reviews I read said that it didn't leave the skin oily, left the skin radiant and was a beautiful moisturiser. So I went to my local Priceline Chemist and purchased the SHE Aromatherapy, Anti-Ageing Cold Pressed Rosehip Oil in a 15ml Bottle (the only size they had). I have been using this product for about 2 months now and I don't see me changing it any time soon. You use only a pea size on your hand and then rub it in all over your face and down the neck a bit - remember when you're putting products on your neck/jaw always go in an upward motion, if you put it on in a downward motion it promotes your skin sagging and we all don't want that!. I always make sure I really rub it in so it absorbs really nicely and has the most effect. It may sound like the bottle is very small but luckily a little goes a really long way. I tend to put it on just before I go to bed at night, it says to put it on morning and night but most days I find it moisturises enough for the 24 hours, if my skin is extra dry I do put it on in the morning though.
My skin has never felt so good!. I literally want to rub my skin all the time because it's so amazingly soft. I do feel like it gives me a pretty good glow and gives a nice base to put Makeup on over the top as it doesn't go powdery or dry but I don't generally put Makeup on top of it straight away as I feel it's kind of a waste lol I let it absorb for a bit first so it does it's job. It seems to be helping my Psoriasis as well as I haven't had the blotchy dry patches come up pretty much at all since I've started using it, remember I have a Mild case of Psoriasis so if you have a bad case don't use this as a repair, if your Doctor has given you medicated cream use that in the inflamed areas or in conjunction with it. It's Organic so they shouldn't react with your skin, but like everything if you have very sensitive skin always patch test.

It says on the package " Packed with essential fatty acids, vitamins and antioxidants, Rosehip Oil is known for it's unique ability to nourish and restore balance to all skin types. SHE's organic cold pressed Rosehip Oil enhanced with Vitamin E is a great natural care moisturiser that is easily absorbed by the skin leaving no oily residue. Highly effective for use on scars, blemishes, stretch marks and other skin concerns such as sun damaged and ageing skin. Skin is soothed, softened and hydrated glowing with natural health"

I purchased this from Priceline for approx $18.00. They had a buy one get one free promotion going on at the time so I took advantage and got 2 of them. Compared to a lot of other Serums and Oils I personally think it's quite reasonable. When I first saw the bottle I was a bit taken a back as it's such a small bottle but after using it such a little amount covers the whole face it lasts a while and as I love what the product does I think it's worth it.

I have attached a few photos of what my skin looked like before I started this product - as you can see it's very flaky from being very dry and the Psoriasis and the other 2 photos were taken 2 days ago, there was nothing on my skin as I had a shower about half an hour before this. My skin now looks so much better and apart from the red mark in between my eyebrows (was an itchy bite) my skin looks nice and radiant and no dry spots.

I would highly recommend this product. It works beautifully and leaves the skin feeling and looking amazing. If you have oily skin, don't fret as I recommended this product to a good friend who has oily skin and she absolutely loves this as well.

Comparison - Palmer's Cocoa Butter Natural Bronze & Vaseline Cocoa Glow Spray Moisturisers.

Good Morning/Night Beauty-ful people!

So I previously wrote a blog on the Vaseline Intensive Care Cocoa Glow Spray Moisturiser and did say that I loved this product, especially the efficiency of it and the smell. Blog here - http://www.beautywithbelinda.blogspot.com.au/2014/05/review-vaseline-intensive-care-spray.html.
Since writing that blog, I have purchased a new, similar product which is Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula with Vitamin E, Natural Bronze Gradual Tanning Moisturiser. Well it took me a while to start using this product as I've been very lazy as of late with my moisturising routine but had to tell you all about it.

Although, both of these products are great, I decided to do a comparison on them so you can see the pros and cons on both of them as they're such similar products.

After the first time I used the Palmer's Cocoa Butter Moisturiser I was literally blown away!. The Vaseline Spray sprays out very blotchy, can be quite messy,  goes onto the skin quite wet and doesn't disperse the product completely evenly. The Palmer's Spray is so fine and sprays on so nicely and evenly and it doesn't go anywhere but the area that you're spraying, which I absolutely love and it doesn't go on as wet as the Vaseline product, it's obviously a tiny bit wet as it's a spray but within a few seconds it's completely dry. Now, with the Bronzing part of both products. The Vaseline Spray I honestly couldn't tell much of a difference apart from a bit of a shine, with the Palmer's Spray after the first use, where I put the product was nice and tanned and it was so even and nice - it looked very natural (although I did look a bit funny as the first few times I used it on just my legs so my legs were nice and tanned and the rest of me was white haha). Now to the smell. The Vaseline Spray smells soooooo yummy you just want to eat yourself up lol. The Palmer's Spray smells really delicious as well, the only down fall is afterwards you can kind of smell a tan smell which I don't particularly like but when it's such a bronzing product that is to be expected but it doesn't last long (just don't spray it then immediately go into a confined space lol). Both of them are very similar with the moisturising factor, they both leave your skin nice and soft. Price Comparisons, they are quite similar. Palmer's Spray is approximately $8.00 and Vaseline Spray is approximately $10.00, so they're very close in price.

The other benefits of the Palmer's Spray is that it's Paraben Free and Phthalate Free for those health conscious and/or Pregnant. To use both are pretty much the same, you just click the top of nozzles to make it open and then hold the bottles approximately 10cm away from the area you want to spray it on and then spray, then of course rub it in. As the Palmer's has more tan in it, you have to be more aware that you're putting it every where but it disperses so much easily and evenly that it's pretty easy to get an even coverage.

Both of the Brands have other scents and moisturising types that are available so you can check them out here -
Palmer's - http://www.palmersaustralia.com/products/all/.
Vaseline - http://www.vaseline.us/product/category/intensive-care.html (US Site)

Now it's completely up to you what you prefer in your moisturising products, that's why I have done a comparison as both of them are very good and I would recommend both but they both have pros and cons but for my personal use I prefer the Palmer's Spray as I'm a bit lazy - as it's a bit easier to use and finer and sprays more evenly and I don't go in the sun a lot lately so the tan is nice without having to go through the process of Spray Tanning. Overall if I had to choose between traditional Moisturiser and Spray on Moisturiser, I use the Spray on as it's a lot easier - as mentioned earlier I am lazy haha and I always feel like my skin takes a long time to dry properly with traditional moisturiser and the Spray absorbs so nicely I can literally get dressed a few seconds after and it doesn't feel like moisturiser would be going everywhere. Also, that feeling you get when you have moisturiser on and it's a hot day and later you sweat, you feel very oily because of the moisturiser, Spray on absorbs so nicely it doesn't get that feeling (well personally) and seeing as I live in a very humid state I really appreciate that.

Hope you are all having a Beauty-ful Day/Night and are enjoying your weekend!
